Питательный насос ПН 1,6/16Б предназначен для перекачивания пресной воды, темных нефтепродуктов и остальных жидкостей, сходных с отмеченными по химической активности, с температурой до 105 °С и кинематической вязкостью до 8 см²/с. В состав электронасосного аппарата ПН 1.6/16 входят: двухпоршневой горизонтальный насос двустороннего действия и электродвигатель.
Привод от электродвигателя к насосу исполняется с помощью клиноремнной передачи. Маркировка насоса означает: ПН — питательный насосный агрегат; 1,6 — подача, м³/ч; 16 — давление на выходе из насоса, ат; Б — модернизация.
